Serving as Lead Web Developer and UX Strategist, this project was both a technical and creative challenge. JE Dunn’s existing corporate site was built on an aging platform, difficult to maintain, and visually out of sync with the company’s brand evolution. My work focused on modernizing the site to better reflect JE Dunn’s reputation for innovation and excellence in construction, while improving usability and accessibility across every device.

Technical Development: Migrated the site to a modern WordPress framework with a fully custom theme, leveraging Advanced Custom Fields and modular components for scalability. Optimized performance through streamlined code, image compression, and Core Web Vitals improvements.

UI/UX Design: Reimagined the user experience to emphasize clarity and professionalism, focusing on clean layouts, intuitive navigation, and engaging visuals that highlight projects and company culture. Designed with accessibility in mind, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Features/Integrations: Implemented dynamic project portfolios, employee stories, and location-based content filtering. Integrated Salesforce for career listings and enhanced analytics tracking for marketing insights.

Collaboration & Strategy: Partnered closely with the internal marketing and IT teams to unify brand identity, refine content strategy, and build a system that empowered non-technical staff to update and manage content efficiently.

While the project was complex, the end result is a site that finally mirrors the scale and precision of JE Dunn’s real-world impact. Seeing the new site go live—sleek, efficient, and proudly modern—was one of those moments where design and engineering meet purpose.
